Leech Therapy
Even with advanced medical techniques, some primitive methods are still providing effective health outcomes for many patients. Leech therapy can be highly beneficial in preventing blood clots and complications after surgery. Leeches are FDA-approved living medical devices to promote healing and prevent tissue death. Leech saliva contains an anticoagulant and antiplatelet agent to keep blood flowing in damaged areas. As the leech draws clotted blood away, it releases a natural anesthetic to help reduce pain.

Medication Delivery
Although Aura AfterCare is not a hospital or nursing home, we work with several pharmacies nearby to have medications delivered as needed.
Following outpatient surgery, you may not be able to pick up the prescribed medications you need for your recovery. Aura AfterCare is not a nursing home or hospital that can administer prescribed medications. However, we work with several nearby pharmacies to have medications delivered directly to you at our center when needed. We can coordinate with your doctor, pharmacy, and the insurance company. You can have peace of mind and focus on having a full and speedy recovery.
Our goal is to assist you in your recovery to ensure you achieve optimal healing. Our experienced staff will work with you to make sure surgery aftercare instructions are followed.
